Lab Technician – Packaging Materials

About the role

Sealed Air is seeking a Lab Technician to support its packaging solutions business. The role involves testing incoming materials, analysing samples for new product development or complaints, and ensuring accurate documentation of results.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret customer and internal specifications for packaging materials.
• Conduct incoming material testing on Autobags, laminated pouches, and co‑extruded films.
• Perform sample analysis for new developments or complaint investigations.
• Maintain detailed records of test data and prepare certificates of analysis.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Report equipment outages and support corrective actions.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Packaging (e.g., IIP, CIPET, SOP, SSES); fresh graduates are welcome.
• Familiarity with safe and efficient operation of laboratory equipment.
• Basic knowledge of polymers, processing technologies, and packaging material properties.
• Understanding of general testing methods such as weight, GSM, thickness, and dimensional measurements.
• Experience handling standard lab tools (scales, balances, calipers, gauges).
