KYC and EDD Analyst

About the role

Join EY's Financial Crime Operations team as a KYC and Enhanced Due Diligence Analyst. You will work with global EY offices to deliver compliance solutions, helping regulated businesses meet AML, sanctions and fraud requirements while supporting the firm’s broader financial crime consulting practice.

Key responsibilities

• Support the compliance team in delivering KYC, EDD, sanctions screening and AML transaction monitoring services.
• Develop clear process documentation and translate complex procedures into easy‑to‑follow instructions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure operational readiness of applications and processes.
• Analyze legal documents, corporate structures and ID documents to verify client information.
• Apply AI tools, generative AI and prompt engineering to improve research, analysis and operational efficiency.
• Escalate issues promptly and communicate clearly with leadership, on‑shore and client teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, law or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in AML, KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring or regulatory reporting.
• Experience in a consulting role or large corporate environment with strong knowledge of global financial crime compliance practices.
• Willingness to work onsite five days a week, adhere to Indian holidays, and travel domestically or internationally as required.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with KYC tools and processes.
• Experience analyzing legal documents (MOA, AOA, trust deeds, fund portfolios, etc.).
• Screening and risk assessment against sanctions lists, PEP databases and adverse media.
• Hands‑on use of AI‑enabled tools, generative AI and prompt engineering.
• Strong PC skills, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
