Kitchen Stewarding Executive

About the role

As a Kitchen Stewarding Executive you will lead the stewarding team to ensure the kitchen environment meets the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and efficiency. You will work closely with kitchen and restaurant management to align stewarding activities with service schedules and overall hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and train a team of dishwashers, cleaners and support staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas according to HACCP and company standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment, placing orders to keep stock at optimal levels.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations, keeping accurate records.
• Coordinate stewarding activities with food preparation and service schedules to guarantee smooth workflow.
• Conduct regular inspections and take corrective actions to address any deficiencies.
• Work with maintenance personnel to schedule timely repairs of kitchen equipment.
• Monitor usage of supplies and equipment to control costs and identify efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in kitchen stewarding or similar hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Good knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP.
• Organisational ability to manage inventory and coordinate with multiple departments.
