Kitchen Stewarding Associate

About the role

We are looking for a Kitchen Stewarding Associate to join our hospitality team at Marriott International in New Delhi. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and store areas, supporting food‑and‑beverage operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dish‑washing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect and sanitize kitchen, store‑room areas, tables, tools, knives and other equipment using appropriate chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly and rotate stock.
• Use the three‑compartment sink to clean dishes with detergent, rinsing and sanitizing chemicals.
• Inspect, pull, stack and re‑wash items that do not meet quality standards.
• Rinse and spray racked items with hot water to remove food residue.
• Sort, soak and wash/re‑wash silverware; break down dirty bus tubs.
• Empty and maintain trash cans, dumpsters and recycle bins; break down cardboard for recycling.
• Clean and mop all assigned department areas.
• Follow all company safety, security and quality policies; report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and to reach overhead, bend, twist and stoop.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work environment.

Required skills

• Operation of dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment.
