Kitchen Staff

About the role

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking Kitchen Staff to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and support occasional catering functions across multiple locations. The role involves performing all positions within the kitchen while maintaining food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily, ensure food is held at required temperatures, and stock milk coolers.
• Prepare foods according to menu plans and Opaa! recipes, including baking bread, cakes, and cookies.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, grinders, ovens, fryers, and thermometers with proper certification.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, cafeteria, and dishwashing areas; follow FIFO inventory procedures.
• Handle cash register or POS system, process customer monies, and complete daily meal reconciliation paperwork.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; up to one month related experience acceptable.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate simple instructions and present information to customers and staff.
• Basic math skills for adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and interpreting rates and percentages.
• Reasoning ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions and solve concrete problems.

Required skills

• Operation of dishwasher, mixer, oven, fryer, slicer, and other kitchen equipment.
• Use of thermometers, gauges, and food safety monitoring tools (HACCP compliance).
• Meal Counting Software usage.
• POS system and cash register handling.
