About the role
We are looking for a reliable Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen operations. You will ensure that the kitchen environment remains clean, hygienic, and well‑stocked, helping the team deliver high‑quality food services.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and store deliveries, checking invoices for accuracy.
- Maintain hygiene standards by washing down kitchen equipment and heavy production tools.
- Clean floors daily and as needed, using floor‑washing machines regularly.
- Perform a small amount of food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
- Keep the kitchen tidy at all times in line with health and safety regulations.
Required profile
- Current Food Hygiene certificate.
- Experience in a similar kitchen or porter role preferred.
- Experience in NHS or healthcare catering environments is a plus.
- Ability to operate floor‑washing machines safely.
