About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Kitchen Helpers to join our school’s food services team. In this role you will support the preparation and cooking of nutritious meals for students, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety in a busy kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to set menus and specific dietary requirements.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and keep accurate records of food stocks and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety best practices.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a cook in an educational or institutional setting.
  • Food safety certification is a plus.

Required skills

  • Strong cooking and food preparation abilities.
  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and health & safety policies.
