About the role
The Key Account Manager will drive product and value sales across primary and secondary channels for the assigned territory. You will build and nurture relationships with doctors, retailers and stockists while leading a team of Medical Executives and Trainees.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets for both primary and secondary sales.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders through targeted engagement initiatives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
- Identify skill gaps and implement training programs for team members.
- Enforce the company’s credit policy and monitor outstanding payments.
- Recruit, onboard and supervise Medical Executives (MEs) and Medical Trainees (MTs) to ensure uninterrupted sales coverage.
- Oversee field operations, ensuring timely daily reporting and market intelligence collection.
- Escalate unresolved issues to line managers and head office as needed.
Required profile
- 8‑10 years of overall experience with at least 2 years as a First Line Manager.
- Graduation in Pharmacy; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage a sales team and meet revenue targets.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
