Key Account Manager – Domestic Hotel Chains

About the role

MakeMyTrip is seeking a Key Account Manager to lead the Domestic Chains portfolio within its Hotels supply function. Based in Gurgaon, you will work closely with senior leadership of major Indian hotel chains to drive growth, optimise inventory and pricing, and strengthen partnership performance.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with C‑level executives of domestic hotel chains (e.g., IHCL, ITC, Leela, Sarovar) to build and maintain strategic relationships.
• Analyse monthly production reports, provide feedback, and conduct review meetings – both virtual and on‑site – to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Train partner hotels on MakeMyTrip’s extranet platform and share market insights, comp‑set analysis and pricing recommendations.
• Coordinate with internal categories such as revenue, marketing and product to ensure seamless execution of agreed actions.
• Negotiate and close partnership deals, onboard new hotels and drive marketing initiatives to increase visibility and bookings.
• Spend up to 50 % of time travelling across cities to meet decision‑makers and support field activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in key account management or business development within the hospitality or travel sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret performance data and present actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, comfortable interacting with senior executives.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
