Junior UI/Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Cisco Secure Workload is looking for a junior UI/Full Stack Engineer to help build features for policy and vulnerability management within its cloud‑native security platform. You will work closely with a cross‑functional team, contributing to both frontend and backend components while learning best practices in modern software development.

Key responsibilities

• Establish relationships and collaborate effectively with your team.
• Develop small‑to‑medium features from technical design through completion.
• Apply software development lifecycle and agile practices such as requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing and acceptance testing.
• Deliver technical design features with guidance and participate in code reviews.
• Write clean functional code, unit tests and end‑to‑end (E2E) tests.
• Monitor and triage incident reports, participate in post‑mortems and on‑call duties as needed.
• Estimate task effort and communicate status, blockers and delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with no required experience.
• Basic knowledge of software development theories, principles and concepts, gained through coursework or internships.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern UI framework such as React or Angular.
• Familiarity with backend development using languages like Go, Ruby on Rails or Node.js is a plus.
