Junior Tax Analyst – Hybrid

About the role

Citi is seeking a Junior Tax Analyst to join its centralized Tax Information Reporting function in Mumbai. This hybrid role supports accurate tax reporting, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across multiple lines of business.

Key responsibilities

• Process and validate W-8 and W-9 tax forms in line with IRS Chapter 3, Chapter 61, FATCA, and CRS requirements.
• Migrate tax reporting activities from various business sub‑units into the FRSS platform, including documentation and training.
• Support audits by the IRS, internal audit teams, and other regulatory bodies.
• Participate in process re‑engineering, self‑assessment testing, MCA, and SOX control activities.
• Provide technical tax input on technology projects and ensure tight controls over owned processes.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a strong interest in tax compliance.
• Ability to work on an EMEA shift and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Quick learner with the capacity to develop product knowledge for a specific business vertical.
