Junior Purchase Executive

About the role

Petra India Group is looking for a proactive Junior Purchase Executive to support its procurement function. The role involves managing purchase orders, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely availability of materials for manufacturing and chemical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process daily purchase orders (POs) and manage day‑to‑day purchase operations.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers and products.
• Conduct supplier visits and pre‑dispatch inspections when required.
• Coordinate with logistics, stores, and production teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, documentation, and vendor database.
• Ensure procurement meets quality standards while optimizing cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Commerce or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in purchase or procurement, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry.
• Strong command of English and Hindi for effective communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Familiarity with Google Sheets.
