Junior Engineer – Remote Monitoring

About the role

Quest Global is seeking a Junior Engineer to support remote monitoring of upstream and downstream rotary equipment. The role focuses on analysing machine health, generating anomaly reports and contributing to predictive maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor rotary machines such as reciprocating/centrifugal compressors, gas and steam turbines, blowers, motors, pumps and generators.
• Review P&ID, instrument lists, PFDs and data sheets to understand equipment configuration.
• Develop anomaly reports, diagnose faults and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform advanced vibration analysis, rotor dynamics studies, oil analysis and thermal imaging.
• Interpret multi‑parameter data (vibration, process, seal) to improve MTBF and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for major breakdowns and support predictive maintenance planning.
• Mentor junior monitoring engineers and present technical findings to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience with upstream/downstream rotary machinery maintenance.
• Ability to analyse complex data sets and generate clear technical reports.
• Strong communication skills for presenting to leadership.
• Motivation to work in a collaborative, diverse engineering environment.
