Junior Engineer / Engineer - Technical Service

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Engineer / Engineer to join KONE’s Technical Service team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on safe operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of elevator equipment, ensuring high customer satisfaction and continuous improvement of service processes.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out safe working practices and follow maintenance and safety instructions to protect end‑users and colleagues.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, including remote monitoring and alarm system problems assigned by the Technical Helpdesk.
• Perform first‑visit inspections of new equipment from competitors or KONE as requested by sales or supervisors.
• Identify potential safety hazards or equipment faults, create sales leads, and communicate findings to the Technical Helpdesk Manager.
• Plan workload in coordination with the Technical Helpdesk Manager and ensure timely completion of service tasks.

Required profile

• Commitment to customer satisfaction through proactive on‑site communication and quality service.
• Ability to train and coach Maintenance Technicians, sharing knowledge of field letters, express letters and new maintenance methodologies.
• Proactive identification of competence gaps and communication with supervisors to address them.
