Junior Doctor

About the role

PlanB is seeking a full‑time Junior Doctor to join its clinical team in Bagalkot. Working under senior clinicians, you will provide direct patient care, conduct examinations, and contribute to diagnosis and treatment in a supportive, evidence‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, take medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and interpret basic investigations, prescribe medications according to protocols, and monitor patient progress.
• Document clinical findings accurately in electronic health records and update medical charts.
• Participate in ward rounds, coordinate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams, and assist in emergency care when required.
• Adhere to hospital guidelines, maintain patient confidentiality, and engage in quality‑improvement and clinical audit activities.

Required profile

• Recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid registration to the appropriate medical council.
• Strong clinical assessment abilities, including history taking, physical examination and basic diagnostic reasoning.
• Knowledge of common medical conditions, standard treatment protocols and basic emergency care procedures.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends or evenings, in a busy hospital setting.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
