Junior Dialysis Technician

About the role

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Junior Dialysis Technician to join its clinical team. The role involves preparing and operating haemodialysis equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment for patients with kidney failure.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate haemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
• Attach dialyzer and tubing, prime extracorporeal circuits with 0.9% normal saline.
• Label dialyser and blood lines with patient name and ID before first use.
• Prepare dialysis solutions and mix bicarbonate according to prescribed formulas.
• Explain the dialysis procedure and machine operation to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Connect the machine to the patient’s vascular access and initiate treatment.
• Monitor the machine for any malfunction during therapy.
• Maintain accurate log books, forms, and registers.
