Junior CAD Design Engineer (CATIA)

About the role

The Junior CAD Design Engineer will support product design, development and validation activities, translating customer requirements into robust engineering solutions. You will work closely with design, manufacturing, quality and customer teams to ensure product performance, feasibility and manufacturability.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and development teams to convert customer requirements into engineering solutions.
• Conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and define corrective actions.
• Perform tolerance stack‑up analysis and apply GD&T for precise drawings.
• Support prototype builds, design reviews and validation testing.
• Work with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve design and process issues.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, specifications and technical reports.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in product design, application engineering or mechanical engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with CATIA V5 (part modelling, GSD, drafting, assembly).
• Experience with plastic and sheet‑metal component design and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, GD&T, tolerance stack‑up analysis and mechanical design principles.
• Exposure to safety‑critical automotive components (e.g., steering wheels, airbags) is a plus.
