Java Technical Lead - Hyderabad

About the role

IC Markets Global is seeking a senior Java Technical Lead to drive backend development for its high‑performance trading platform. The role combines hands‑on coding with full team leadership, ensuring delivery of low‑latency, scalable services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a team of Java backend developers, handling task breakdown, progress monitoring and blocker removal.
• Provide technical direction for microservices, API design and trading‑related services, ensuring scalability, security and maintainability.
• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java 17+, microservices, REST APIs and event‑driven architectures.
• Optimize system performance through JVM tuning, GC optimization and concurrency improvements for low‑latency trading.
• Drive delivery across sprint planning, release readiness and cross‑functional collaboration with Product, QA, DevOps and Mobile teams.
• Collaborate with trading, risk, compliance and operations stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Enforce coding standards, code reviews and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Required profile

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Java development skills.
• 2+ years of experience leading a technical team of 7+ members, managing delivery, estimation and technical planning.
• Background in FinTech, Forex, trading or high‑performance systems, with knowledge of low‑latency and cloud‑based delivery.
