Java Software Engineer – Cloud Native Microservices

About the role

Logile is seeking a Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud‑native microservices that power retail labor planning and store execution solutions. You will work onsite in Bhubaneswar, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance APIs and support global retail customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based microservices using Spring Boot.
• Implement event‑driven architecture with Apache Kafka.
• Build and expose RESTful APIs for integration with Angular or React front‑ends.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments on Amazon EKS.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production support.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and conduct code reviews.
• Debug and resolve production issues to ensure reliability and performance.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product management in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and RESTful API design.
• Experience with cloud‑native microservices and event‑driven systems.
• Familiarity with front‑end frameworks like Angular or React.
• Ability to work onsite with some overlap to US business hours.
