Java Fullstack Developer

About the role

We are seeking experienced full‑stack software engineers who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation. The role involves writing code, pairing with peers, and delivering features within an agile team for Citi and GFT.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and engineer solutions in an Agile delivery team, meeting sprint goals and contributing to code reviews.
• Design, document, and build enterprise applications using modern cloud‑based technologies and design patterns.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to decompose acceptance criteria, manage backlog items, and assess risks.
• Influence software architecture and adhere to best‑practice principles such as unit testing, automation, and continuous integration.
• Participate in the broader technical community, sharing knowledge and contributing to team standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience with micro‑services frameworks, cloud‑native development, and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with agile and iterative software delivery practices.

Required skills

• Java (core, OOP, data structures).
• Micro‑services frameworks (Java based).
• Front‑end technologies: Angular, React, TypeScript.
• Python or Node.js.
• Container tools: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Serverless.
• API styles: REST, GraphQL.
• CI/CD pipelines (Tekton, Harness, CircleCI, CloudBees Jenkins).
• AI‑assisted automation tools (Devin, Claude).
