Java Backend Engineer (L2) – Pune

About the role

We are seeking a Java Backend Engineer (Level 2) to join our engineering team in Pune. The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot and modern cloud technologies on AWS. Ideal candidates have at least four years of hands‑on experience delivering production‑grade micro‑services and APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable backend applications with Java and Spring Boot.
• Create and support RESTful APIs and micro‑service architectures.
• Write efficient SQL queries for relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot applications on AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, etc.).
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on background with Java and Spring Framework.
• Proven experience building and supporting production micro‑services.
• Practical knowledge of Agile development processes.
