Java Backend Developer – Angular or Spring Boot

About the role

Citi is seeking an Applications Developer to join its Technology team. You will design, develop, and enhance mission‑critical business applications using either Angular for the UI or Java Spring Boot for backend services, supporting global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new features and system enhancements using Angular or Java Spring Boot.
• Analyze technical and business requirements, identify gaps, and propose scalable solutions.
• Build, test, and debug code with structured testing practices to ensure functionality meets specifications.
• Investigate and resolve application issues, evaluating root causes and implementing fixes.
• Identify and escalate potential risks or control concerns to support regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in software development or a related technical discipline.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to analyze information, draw logical conclusions, and communicate technical recommendations clearly.
