IT Systems Engineer – India Office

About the role

As a Systems Engineer at Red Cup IT, you aren't just a “fixer”—you are a strategic consultant for our clients. You will serve as the final escalation point for complex technical issues and the primary architect for infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute high‑level projects such as server migrations, Microsoft 365/Azure migrations, and network overhauls.
• Act as the Tier 3 escalation point, resolving high‑impact server, networking, and security incidents.
• Proactively maintain and optimize client environments using RMM and PSA tools to achieve 99.9 % uptime.
• Implement and enforce security best practices, including MFA, EDR, and backup verification across all clients.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, network diagrams, and runbooks.
• Support account managers in Technical Business Reviews by identifying hardware lifecycles and recommending upgrades.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Engineer, preferably in an MSP environment.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive solutions end‑to‑end.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into business risk for non‑technical stakeholders.

• VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper‑V (clustering, SAN management)
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs
• Business‑class firewalls such as Fortinet, SonicWall, Cisco Meraki
• Enterprise backup solutions like Veeam, Datto, Acronis
• RMM/PSA platforms (ConnectWise, NinjaOne, HaloPSA)
