IT Systems Administrator – Infrastructure & Security

About the role

We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to keep Unreconciled’s IT infrastructure secure, available and well‑run across all offices. The role blends day‑to‑day systems administration with a strong focus on security and identity management, supporting both user needs and corporate compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Active Directory – create and manage domains, users, groups, OUs and Group Policy objects; handle joiner/mover/leaver processes.
• Configure and maintain Sophos firewall and endpoint protection, including policies, VPN/remote access, content filtering and incident response.
• Provision, image and support laptops and desktops; manage software deployment, updates and an accurate asset/licence register.
• Manage on‑prem and cloud servers, file shares, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration, mailboxes and security settings.
• Run backups, verify restore procedures and maintain business‑continuity and disaster‑recovery routines.
• Provide first‑ and second‑line support, triage tickets and assist with new‑office setups, relocations and hardware roll‑outs.
• Enforce IT and data‑protection policies, support security audits and keep documentation such as runbooks, configurations and SOPs up to date.

Required profile

• Ability to balance user support with proactive system maintenance.
