IT Support Specialist – Tier 1/2 – Chennai

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our Chennai team, providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 assistance to end‑users. The role involves handling tickets, troubleshooting incidents, and supporting the IT infrastructure in a large enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to user calls and tickets, perform first‑level troubleshooting, and document resolution steps.
• Provide hotline support, manage incident escalation to Tier 2/3 teams, and deliver end‑user training when needed.
• Administer user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange, and support on‑premise conferencing equipment.
• Monitor hardware, software and system performance, run diagnostic tests, and maintain system security.
• Maintain records of troubleshooting activities and update the company’s security systems regularly.

Required profile

• College diploma in an IT program; certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE or MCP are preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a large enterprise technical support role.
• Self‑motivated, strong initiative, integrity, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and customer‑service orientation.
