IT Support Engineer – Desktop Support

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to internal clients. You will install, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software systems while delivering clear, customer‑focused support.

Key responsibilities

• Address user tickets related to hardware, software and networking.
• Guide customers through installing applications and peripherals such as printers and scanners.
• Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems and provide step‑by‑step instructions.
• Conduct remote troubleshooting and test alternative solutions until issues are resolved.
• Customize desktop applications to meet user needs and record technical issues in logs.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher‑level support and follow up to ensure systems remain functional.
• Report customer feedback, product requests and help create technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or Technical Support Engineer (6‑8 years minimum).
• Graduate with IT training and certifications in hardware and networking.
• Customer‑oriented attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent problem‑solving, multitasking and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, in a team and communicate effectively in English.
