IT Security Officer

About the role

The IT Security Officer will lead the development and implementation of security procedures and policies to protect the organization’s information assets. Reporting to the Supervisor, Server Admin and Infrastructure, the role focuses on preventing and responding to internal and external security threats.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and updating IT security procedures and policies.
• Perform penetration testing (PT) and vulnerability assessments (VA) on critical systems.
• Analyze security incidents, investigate root causes, and document findings.
• Conduct risk evaluations following the TRMG guideline.
• Deliver periodic cybersecurity awareness training for staff.
• Support the implementation of security controls across the IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate with project teams on security aspects of IT changes.
• Report new vulnerabilities and critical patches promptly.
• Test and evaluate new security tools and software.
• Develop documentation and guidelines for proper use of security tools.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Self‑motivated, responsible and eager to learn.
• Strong note‑taking and documentation skills.
