IT Operations Specialist - Communication

About the role

The IT Operations Specialist – Communication will ensure the stability, availability and performance of Airbus' corporate communication platforms, including web factories, media galleries, Airbus TV and social media tools. You will act as the primary point of contact for escalations, drive incident resolution and support continuous improvement of service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage platform availability, stability and mobile optimisation across all hosted communication applications.
• Lead incident, problem and defect management, including major incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate weekly deployment planning, release, access and cut‑over activities, and present to the Change Advisory Board.
• Track ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, configuration, event) and report KPI dashboards to leadership.
• Maintain service catalog, SSL/TLS certificates, license renewals and cost‑optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of experience in IT operations and service management (or 8‑12 years in command‑center operations).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills; ability to work in a distributed, cross‑functional team.
• Willingness to be on‑call and handle off‑hours incidents.

Required skills

• ServiceNow, Jira, VersionOne, HP Service Center, BMC Patrol, SolarWinds, Moogsoft.
• .NET, Java, Python development experience.
• SQL, MSSQL relational database knowledge.
• ITIL concepts and incident/problem/change management processes.
• SAFe / Scaled Agile Framework and Agile delivery experience.
