IT Manager – SAP Finance & Workday

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Manager, IT Corporate Finance Technology to lead the India‑based team that supports SAP Record‑to‑Report, Tax, Treasury and Workday Time & Pay solutions. The role blends people leadership, solution architecture, program delivery and stakeholder engagement to ensure technology aligns with finance business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the India Corporate Finance Technology organization, including hiring, performance management and succession planning.
• Provide governance for SAP RTR, Tax, Treasury and Workday platforms, validating solution architecture and enforcing standards.
• Drive large‑scale finance application programs from initiation through deployment, managing budgets, schedules and quality.
• Oversee application support, change, incident and release management to ensure operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, SOX, security and data‑privacy requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• 10‑12 years of IT experience focused on finance systems, with at least 5 years of people‑management experience.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale SAP and Workday finance projects.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, IFRS, US GAAP and related compliance.

Required skills

• SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP Fiori.
• Workday Time & Pay implementation and support.
• API integration, middleware platforms and cloud integration technologies.
• Enterprise application architecture and solution design.
