IT Manager – End User Support

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead end‑user support across the organization. The role combines team leadership, desktop support, asset management and close collaboration with security, HR and facilities to ensure a secure, efficient and user‑friendly IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and evaluate a team of desktop support engineers, planning shifts and driving continuous improvement.
• Oversee end‑user issue escalation, coordinate pan‑India tech refresh activities and educate users on best practices.
• Manage onboarding and off‑boarding processes: provision accounts in Active Directory and Office 365, deploy laptops/desktops, and ensure timely revocation and secure asset return.
• Control the full lifecycle of IT assets – procurement, inventory, deployment, maintenance, audits, vendor contracts and safe disposal.
• Maintain compliance with security policies, licensing agreements and support internal audits with accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience managing desktop support teams and end‑user services.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and asset lifecycle management.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL Foundation or Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator.
