IT Associate – Technical Support

About the role

The IT Associate provides first‑line technical support to keep the organization’s IT infrastructure running smoothly. The role involves maintaining hardware, software, networks and business applications while ensuring minimal downtime for employees.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level support for desktops, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, operating systems and software.
• Monitor and maintain servers, network switches, firewalls and Wi‑Fi infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and connectivity issues.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, email accounts and access permissions.
• Support Microsoft Office 365, Tally and other business applications.
• Perform regular system updates, data backups and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing and software support.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity standards.
• Assist in implementing new IT systems and infrastructure projects.
• Respond promptly to support requests to minimise system downtime.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with servers, network switches and firewall administration.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Office 365, Tally and other business applications.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems and networking fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN configurations.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities, able to work independently.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
• Local candidates preferred.
