IT Administrator – Studio Infrastructure Support

About the role

Midas VFX is seeking a proactive IT Administrator to join its Mumbai studio and support the daily operation of its creative infrastructure. Working closely with the London technology team, you will ensure that artists, production staff, and management have reliable access to the tools and systems required for world‑class visual effects work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day IT support to artists, production teams and managers.
• Configure, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot Windows and Linux workstations.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access across studio systems.
• Support Google Workspace, Active Directory, VPNs and cloud‑based services.
• Monitor and maintain networking hardware including switches, firewalls and wireless systems.
• Maintain storage solutions, file servers, backup systems and studio hardware.
• Assist with workstation builds, hardware upgrades and equipment procurement.
• Document technical procedures, asset inventories and IT policies.
• Coordinate with external vendors and ensure consistency with the London studio.

Required profile

• 5+ years of IT administration or technical support experience.
• Background supporting users in VFX, animation, post‑production, gaming or similar creative studios.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Windows desktop administration.
• Linux system support.
• Active Directory and Google Workspace administration.
• VPN configuration and management.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, switches, wireless.
• Storage systems, file servers and backup solutions.
• Virtualisation technologies (desirable).
• Familiarity with ShotGrid, Deadline or similar production tools (desirable).
