Inventory Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a data‑driven Inventory Finance Manager to oversee multi‑location inventory control, unit economics and COGS optimisation across our supply‑chain network in Ahmedabad. The role bridges financial governance with operational execution, ensuring efficient working capital and margin improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and run multi‑location inventory control systems, reconciling physical stock with WMS, ERP (Business Central) and general ledgers.
• Design and monitor inventory health metrics such as Days Sales of Inventory, stock turnover, sell‑through rates and GMROI.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain and demand‑planning teams to set safety stock, reorder points and EOQ for each SKU.
• Lead COGS analysis at SKU level, identifying margin erosion drivers and implementing cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Automate reconciliation workflows and inventory valuation within the ERP system and build real‑time MIS dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Supply‑Chain Management; CA, CMA or MBA in Finance preferred.
• 3–6 years of experience in inventory costing or operations finance within retail, e‑commerce, FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical capability with a record of reducing inventory days, improving margin and minimising write‑offs.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, NetSuite) and WMS platforms.
• SQL, Advanced Excel and Power BI (or similar data‑visualisation tools).
