International Tax Specialist – Australian Tax & SMSF Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing Australian accounting firm to recruit experienced professionals in Australian taxation and Self‑Managed Super Fund (SMSF) compliance. Based in Jagatpur, Gota, Ahmedabad, the roles offer the chance to work with Australian clients on a variety of tax and accounting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
• Compile Division 7A calculations, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) schedules.
• Perform GST reconciliations, BAS preparation and review, and manage inter‑entity loan reconciliations.
• Prepare and lodge SMSF financial statements, annual tax returns and audit workpapers.
• Reconcile bank, investment, member and managed‑fund transactions, including cryptocurrency holdings.
• Coordinate with external auditors, respond to audit queries and ensure compliance with ATO requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Australian taxation or SMSF accounting.
• Strong understanding of Australian tax legislation and compliance obligations.
• Ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines and maintain high accuracy.
