Intern – Communication Affairs

About the role

The Communication Affairs Intern will support the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) in implementing its work programme and communication strategy. This role offers hands‑on experience in creating knowledge products, promoting emerging technologies, and supporting regional capacity‑building events.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce communication materials such as flyers, posters, factsheets, infographics and social‑media visuals using Canva and Adobe Suite.
• Draft and edit content for the APCTT website, newsletter and social‑media channels (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram).
• Create short promotional video clips, event highlights and other multimedia content.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and briefing documents for events and meetings.
• Develop ideas to make the technology database on the APCTT website more interactive and real‑time.
• Assist in organising hackathons, capacity‑building events and conferences, including administrative and conference‑management tasks.
• Support knowledge‑management functions and outreach activities related to regional forums and meetings.
• Undertake other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Completed a graduate‑level programme (second university degree or equivalent) in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Climate Change or a related field.
