Intermediate Accountant

About the role

The Intermediate Accountant will join The Arete Group in Vapi, supporting the finance function across multiple business units. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on accurate record‑keeping, timely reporting, and collaborative financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and post journal entries.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide analytical insights.
• Help improve internal controls and support audit processes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Professional CA Inter certification (mandatory).
• Prior experience in an accounting role, preferably within a diversified group.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in Vapi and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis.
