Intermediate Accountant

About the role

Arete Group is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join its finance team in Vapi. You will handle day‑to‑day accounting tasks, support month‑end and year‑end closings, and ensure accurate financial reporting for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain general ledgers.
• Assist with monthly and annual closing processes.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements and accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to provide reliable financial data.
• Assist internal and external auditors and help improve reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Proven competence in core accounting functions such as journal entries, ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and support budgeting activities.
• Familiarity with accounting standards, tax principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (CA, CMA, CPA) are a plus.
• Prior experience in an intermediate accounting role, preferably in real‑estate, industrial or hospitality sectors.
