Intensivist – Medical ICU (MICU) – Mumbai

About the role

The hospital is seeking a qualified Intensivist to join its Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in Parel, Mumbai. The successful candidate will independently manage critically ill patients, respond to medical emergencies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, stabilize, and treat patients admitted to the MICU.
• Manage ventilators, invasive monitoring, and hemodynamic support.
• Perform ICU procedures such as central venous catheterization, arterial line insertion, intubation, and airway management.
• Handle sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, poisoning, multi‑organ dysfunction, and other critical emergencies.
• Coordinate care with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ICU notes, and discharge summaries.
• Ensure compliance with ICU protocols, infection‑control measures, and patient‑safety standards.

Required profile

• MD in Anaesthesiology or MBBS with IDCCM qualification.
• Valid registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council.
• Experience in a Medical ICU or critical‑care setting is preferred.
• Ability to work 12‑hour rotational shifts and manage high‑stress situations.
