Installation Engineer / Senior Engineer

About the role

KONE is looking for an Engineer or Senior Engineer to oversee elevator and escalator installation projects in Bangalore. The role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality and productivity throughout installation, handover and site preparation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site supervision, ensuring compliance with KONE installation methods, risk assessments and corrective actions for any non‑conformities.
• Plan and organise installation activities, logistics, material delivery (MS 3c, MS 3x) and resource allocation, and manage site storage.
• Maintain customer relationships as the primary contact, communicating progress, addressing issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles, conduct huddles, identify waste and implement improvement ideas.
• Oversee quality verification, final testing, handover to maintenance and management of environmental aspects such as waste handling.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in managing installation projects, including site preparation, material logistics and handover processes.
• Strong leadership abilities to motivate site operatives, manage subcontractors and ensure safety and wellbeing on site.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and coordination with project managers and internal teams.
• Ability to analyse costs, variations and change orders, and to support payment verification against the S‑plan.
