Information Technology Specialist

About the role

The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. The role ensures reliable operations, resolves technical issues promptly, and continuously improves technology performance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system‑related issues.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and end‑users.
• Install, configure, and update software and system components.
• Maintain system security, access controls, and data‑protection measures.
• Support system upgrades, patches, and infrastructure improvements.
• Document system configurations, processes, and technical procedures.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams on system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting ability across diverse systems and technologies.
• Structured, detail‑oriented approach to issue resolution.
• Ability to handle multiple support requests efficiently.

Required skills

• Understanding of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with system monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with IT security practices and access‑control mechanisms.
