About the role
BNP Paribas Cardif is looking for a detail‑oriented Informatica PowerCenter Developer to design, develop and maintain high‑performance ETL processes on its French ETL platform. The role will be based in Chennai with an initial onboarding period in Nanterre, France, and will involve close collaboration with a French‑speaking client base.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement complex mappings and workflows using Aggregator, Joiner, Lookup, Rank and other PowerCenter transformations.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, tune SQL queries, session partitions and buffer memory to maximise throughput.
- Write and optimise DDL/DML scripts, stored procedures, and manage database indexing and constraints.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot workflow failures, perform root‑cause analysis and apply timely fixes.
- Maintain comprehensive mapping documentation and data lineage trackers.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with the squad to prioritise project requirements.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (v10.x preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including joins, sub‑queries and analytical functions.
- Strong attention to detail, rigorous approach and client‑oriented mindset.
- Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).
- Master’s degree or equivalent.
