Infection Control Nurse & Educator

About the role

The Infection Control Nurse & Educator will lead the implementation and monitoring of infection control policies across clinical and non‑clinical areas of the Kalyani Nagar hospital. This role ensures compliance with national standards, reduces healthcare‑associated infections, and supports staff competency in infection prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and audit infection control policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Conduct regular infection surveillance, risk assessments, and data analysis to recommend corrective actions.
• Train and educate nursing, medical, and support staff on hand hygiene, waste management, isolation precautions, and other prevention practices.
• Participate in infection control committees and collaborate with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams.
• Document and report infection‑related incidents and prepare for internal and external quality inspections.

Required profile

• GNM or B.Sc Nursing with a Certificate in Infection Control; mandatory MNC registration.
• 2–6 years of experience as an Infection Control Nurse and nurse educator.
• Clinical experience in hospital or acute‑care settings, preferably in maternity, neonatal, or critical care units.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting abilities with attention to regulatory standards.
