Industrial Robotics Engineer

About the role

Airbus India is seeking an experienced Robotics Engineer to design, develop and integrate industrial automation solutions for its manufacturing operations in Bangalore.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyse project needs to propose adapted automation solutions.
• Review and analyse robotic and automation requirements, creating functional and technical specifications.
• Plan, design and develop robotic and automation solutions.
• Integrate solutions into industrial systems, ensuring quality, timeliness and budget compliance.
• Support troubleshooting from prototypes to final system and lead implementation to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with linear and nonlinear control (e.g., sliding mode, backstepping).
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python and MATLAB.
• Experience with Linux‑based real‑time systems.
• Understanding of 1D sensing (laser, ultrasonic, eddy current) and 2D visual sensing (color, thermal, event‑based cameras) and data fusion.
• Hands‑on testing of control algorithms on industrial systems.
• Background in image processing and computer vision (preferred).
• Background in robotic automation (preferred).
