Indirect Procurement Lead – India

About the role

Chanel is seeking an Indirect Procurement Lead for its India operations. The role will build and professionalise the indirect procurement function from the ground up, supporting the company’s growth ambitions across a wide range of non‑manufacturing spend categories.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a compliant, performance‑driven supplier ecosystem, cleansing and rationalising the portfolio and reducing unmanaged long‑tail exposure.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, competitive tenders and TCO‑based negotiations, while strengthening contractual frameworks with legal.
• Accelerate adoption of Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) and Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) digital tools, enforce “No PO No Pay” discipline and improve master data quality.
• Standardise processes, simplify ways of working and embed a compliance culture across the organisation.
• Provide market intelligence to influence procurement strategy and drive sustainable value creation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading indirect procurement or sourcing functions, preferably in a large, complex organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to build procurement capabilities, establish governance and drive transformation.
• Strong stakeholder management and influence skills across finance, legal, IT and business units.
• Experience with supplier risk assessment, due‑diligence and segmentation.
• Track record of delivering measurable cost savings and value creation.
