Income Tax Consultant (Thane)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Income Tax Consultant to join our Thane office. The consultant will handle end‑to‑end income tax matters for a diverse client base, ensuring compliance and delivering strategic tax advice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file income tax returns in accordance with current regulations.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies to optimise their tax positions.
• Respond to tax notices, manage audits and liaise with tax authorities.
• Interpret and apply relevant tax laws, staying updated on legislative changes.
• Prepare documentation and reports for internal use and client delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams and maintain organised client records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Professional certification such as CA, CMA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong expertise in tax planning, preparation and compliance.
• Experience handling tax audits and interacting with tax authorities.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Thane and manage multiple client engagements.
