In-House Legal Executive

About the role

We are looking for an In-House Legal Executive to join our IT company’s legal team. The role will involve providing independent legal advice on critical organizational matters and acting as a strategic partner across finance, delivery, security, and executive functions. You will help build scalable legal operations and strengthen governance.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and redline commercial agreements such as NDAs, MSAs, Job Orders, and Data Security Agreements.
• Lead contract negotiations with external counsel, clients, vendors and partners to achieve timely and favorable outcomes.
• Serve as the primary legal liaison for Finance, Delivery, Security, HR and Executive Leadership to align legal terms with business objectives.
• Provide independent advice on HR & labour compliance, intellectual property, data privacy, insurance coverage and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, review and implement internal policies, SOPs and compliance frameworks to strengthen governance.
• Design and optimise legal operations by introducing scalable processes, tools and best practices.
• Play a strategic role in Enterprise Risk Management by identifying, assessing and mitigating legal and compliance risks.
• Mentor a small legal team, manage performance and foster a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• 0‑4 years of experience in an IT company’s legal team.
• Prior in‑house legal experience in a tech or IT environment is mandatory.
• Proven track record in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.

Required skills

• Expertise in data privacy, intellectual property management and HR/labour matters.
• Ability to provide independent legal advice on critical organizational issues.
