ICU Staff Nurse

About the role

The ICU Staff Nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients within an intensive care unit. Working closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team, the nurse monitors patient conditions, administers treatments, and provides education and support to patients' families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor vital signs, patient condition, and response to treatment continuously.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and other prescribed therapies accurately.
• Assist doctors during medical procedures, emergencies, and critical interventions.
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other life‑support devices.
• Maintain accurate patient records and detailed nursing documentation.
• Follow infection‑control, safety, and hospital protocols at all times.
• Coordinate care with doctors and the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and educate families about patient care.
