IBDP Economics Teacher

About the role

The school seeks an experienced educator to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) Economics curriculum for Grades 11 and 12. The role focuses on fostering inquiry, critical thinking and global perspectives while ensuring compliance with IB standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, assess and continuously improve IB DP Economics lessons, developing students' conceptual understanding, analytical skills and research capabilities.
• Support internal assessment, Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge components, guiding students through rigorous academic requirements.
• Contribute to curriculum development, pastoral care, collaborative planning and co‑curricular programmes across the school.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management, student wellbeing and parent communication.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Economics or a related discipline.
• B.Ed. qualification (mandatory for India).
• Minimum five years of teaching experience, including experience with the IB Diploma Programme Economics.
• Demonstrated ability to teach both Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) Economics.
• Strong understanding of IB assessment practices and standards.
