IB Kindergarten Teacher (Early Years)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Early Years Teacher to deliver the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum to Kindergarten learners. The role involves creating a nurturing, inquiry‑rich environment that supports the holistic development of young children.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate age‑appropriate, play‑based and inquiry‑based learning experiences.
• Develop engaging concepts, themes and real‑world connections.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical and language development.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom that encourages exploration and independence.
• Observe, document and assess learning through portfolios, learning stories and other age‑appropriate methods.
• Integrate stories, art, music, movement, sensory activities, outdoor and hands‑on experiences.
• Foster IB Learner Profile attributes and develop communication, collaboration, creativity, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians and collaborate with the Early Years Coordinator and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures and IB standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Psychology or related field.
• B.Ed./ECCE/Montessori or equivalent teacher training preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience teaching Kindergarten/Early Years, preferably in an international or IB school.
• Strong knowledge of inquiry‑based, play‑based and child‑centred pedagogy.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use digital tools and technology to enhance learning.
• Caring, creative, patient and reflective attitude towards young learners.
