IATF Lead Auditor – Automotive

About the role

As an IATF Lead Auditor you will conduct third‑party automotive audits on behalf of DNV, ensuring clients meet the IATF 16949 standard. You will work closely with client management, develop audit plans, and produce accurate reports and certification decisions. The role can be performed from any location within India.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute IATF 16949 audits for automotive manufacturers and suppliers.
• Develop audit scopes, plans and checklists in line with regulatory requirements.
• Interact with client senior management to discuss findings and recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver high‑quality audit reports, certification decisions and corrective‑action reviews.
• Manage audit teams and coordinate larger certification projects.
• Support business development activities together with the scheme manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a lead auditor in the automotive sector.
• Strong knowledge of the IATF 16949 standard and related quality management systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of client organization.
• Professional demeanor representing DNV at client sites.
